We have been designing and hand making organic jewelry since 1992 in Chiang Mai Thailand. At the beginning we were supplying the Japanese market with pendants and bracelets made using natural wood, horn and shell. Inspired by Jim Ward who was piercing in the 1970’s a US friend suggested we try crafting organic body jewelry which was becoming more popular during the 1990’s.
Our creations were a hit and so began our family journey designing and hand making organics from plugs and tunnels to spirals and ear weights. It’s been a real learning process though certainly an enjoyable one testing which organics are safe to wear and learning how to carve and hand polish the jewelry to exacting dimensions.
We use various woods native to Thailand such as Dark Raintree, Blood Wood, Hevea Wood, Coconut Palm and imported Fijian Mahogany. Other materials we use are natural Mother of Pearl shell, Abalone shell and natural Water Buffalo Horn from buffalos which have died from natural causes. Under no circumstance is any animal ever harmed.
